Join us on Saturday June 22, 2019 at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront Ballroom for a night of fine dining and entertainment to benefit the design and construction of a permanent memorial at the site of the 2014 Oso Slide. The evening will also include a cocktail hour, a Live Auction, a Mission Based Auction, a Raise the Paddle and Dessert Dash. Tickets are $150 and can be purchased on the website: www.slidememorial.com/pnw-paradise-ball.

The Oso Slide Memorial Committee would like to give special thanks to our first Event Sponsor - Best Texas Kettle Corn ( https://www.facebook.com/Best-Texas-Kettle-Corn-267913514102077/ ) who has committed to the event at the Explorer Level. Our sponsor is also offering to include a special gourmet bag of kettle corn in the SWAG bag that will be distributed to the event's top sponsors. If you are interested in sponsoring the event, please see our Sponsorship Opportunities page here - www.slidememorial.com/sponsorship-opportunities.

The Committee would also like to thank our first Live Auction Procurement - an afternoon consultation with Pete Nelson from Nelson Treehouse and an autographed copy of his latest book - https://www.nelsontreehouse.com/. If you are interested in donating an item to the Live Auction that has an adventure, outdoor or Pacific Northwest theme, please see our Auction Donations page - www.slidememorial.com/auction-donations. Organizations or businesses interested in donating to the Dessert Dash can also contact the committee through this webpage.

The PNW Paradise Ball is a formal event so we ask that you and your guests dress in formal attire. Have a question? Contact our event planner Sarah at sarah@gfsevents.org.

Thank you,

The Oso Slide Memorial Committee

ABOUT >

On March 22, 2014 at 10:37 am the single deadliest landslide in United States history occurred along SR 530 near Oso, Washington. The slide engulfed an entire community, taking the lives of 43 souls. The Slide Memorial commemorates and educates about the lives lost, a community destroyed, the first responder's and rescuer's heroic efforts, the grief and resilience of the survivors, and the geological event itself.
